Energy company that operates in over 20 countries. They are one of the leaders in the field of renewable energies and are heavily invested in technological advancements in the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:  

• Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business objectives. This includes identifying potential M&A targets that align with the company’s growth strategy
• Lead all aspects of M&A transactions, including sourcing, negotiation, due diligence, and integration. This involves coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of transactions
• Conduct detailed financial analysis and modeling to evaluate potential M&A opportunities. This includes analyzing the target company’s financial statements, conducting valuation analysis, and assessing the potential financial impact of the transaction on the company
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with M&A transactions. This includes conducting thorough due diligence to uncover potential risks and developing strategies to manage these risks
• Oversee the post-merger integration process to ensure that the company realizes the expected benefits of the transaction. This involves coordinating with various departments to integrate operations, systems, and personnel

Requirements:     

• A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is mandatory. An MBA or other advanced degree is preferred
• At least 5-7 years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, or consulting, with a focus on M&A
• Strong analytical skills, proficiency in financial modeling, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams. Familiarity with legal and regulatory aspects of M&A is also important
• The ideal candidate should be a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills. They should be able to work under pressure and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Fluency in English and German
